PEHS Band Booster Meeting 11/14/2019

Dear PEHS, JFK, IT, and HG Band Parents,

We have our Band Booster Meeting Wednesday November 13th at 7:30 pm in the band room. Please come out and learn about upcoming Booster activities at Plainfield East High School.

Middle School Parents with incoming PEHS students, we would love to see you and have the chance to further discuss any questions about the High School Band Program and Booster Activities.

We captured a great video of the last section of the Recruitment Concert and will have it available on DVD at the meeting.  If you are planning on attending and would like a copy, if you could please email Aaron Stone so he can ensure he has enough copies made. His email address is stone.aaron@gmail.com

Thanks, and we hope to see you there!

David &  Justin

Thank you

The marching season has ended and we are on our way home. Home to supportive parents and friends who have watched this season grow and cap off at the University of Illinois. Here we battled 30+ mph winds, frozen tears and cold hands. This year we saw Senior goodbye hugs and first year hellos. For this and more we are thankful.

It is only possible with the help and support of our parents. They give of themselves time and again. They sit on the bus, they load the trailer and they hold down podiums. Thank you

To building administration who believes in us and supports the program with high fives, great jobs, and the occasional source of welcomed food. Thank you.

We look forward to seeing you at our Tuesday concert (6:30pm). To play the show One. More. Time.

To infinity band!

Thank you and Volunteer Opportunity

Good Morning PEHS Band Booster Family!

This is a quick note from both myself, Aaron Stone Band Booster President and Past Band Booster President Ron Oestreich

It has been an awesome marching band season!   We are nearing the end with the final home game tomorrow evening and the final competition at U of I on Saturday!   We do want to compliment you on how much you have shown up at events and assisted us when your time allows.

The Recruitment Concert is also a great and fun event this coming Tuesday.

We are writing today to ask for your volunteer help for one more important event.

The Annual Plainfield Bands Craft Fair has been in place for more than 15 years and is graciously coordinated by Margie Bonuchi, a current employee of the District and a former band mom!

This event is a major fund-raiser for all four Plainfield High School Band Booster programs.  ($5,000) Our only requirement is to provide the volunteer base to operate.   With so many families, the time we ask for is minimal.

This year is our turn as the lead school.  This happens every four years, and centers on the kitchen (food and beverage) operation.

We also ask that parents and students help out on Sunday with tear down and assisting vendors to their vehicles with their displays.

We have a large band that encompasses many wonderful families.  Please consider signing up for a shift in the kitchen or helping us on Sunday the 28th with teardown.  Many hands make light work.  Light work equals $5k!

The sign up is attached here.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday or Saturday or even Tuesday!    We especially hope to see you next weekend!

Aaron Stone, President

Ron Oestreich, Past President
